El Pdweestraw: The Wise Guy Who Cheated Death, Now Inspiring Through Music

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago’s own El Pdweestraw (real name: Isi Tyee) is not just an artist — he’s a survivor, a storyteller, and a movement. Following a near-fatal car accident on August 23, 2023, El Pdweestraw emerged with a new sense of purpose. The crash left him with multiple shattered bones and required open-heart surgery — but miraculously, a custom “Wise Guy” charm from his personal brand deflected a projectile during the impact, saving his life.

That moment now fuels everything.

From penning poetry at age 7 to recording tracks by 14, El Pdweestraw’s journey through hip-hop has been one of raw talent, relentless drive, and fearless evolution. In 2010, he founded his independent label Wise Guy, making his official streaming debut by 2014. Since then, his credibility has skyrocketed with key highlights like:

  • A standout feature with Lil Wayne on the track “8:45”

  • A commanding 28-minute headlining set in Chicago

  • Three consecutive FM radio singles on Chicago’s 92.3FM

Known for blending street wisdom with emotional depth, Pdweestraw’s music reflects the grit of survival and the strength of authenticity. Whether he's performing live or dropping bars in the studio, his sound is unapologetically real — echoing the voices of those who fight to rise after every fall.

Looking ahead, El Pdweestraw has his sights set on the Billboard charts, Grammy nominations, and building a legacy that fuses music, resilience, and impact. With his Wise Guy brand, he's not just chasing fame — he’s building a lifestyle rooted in truth, power, and survival.
