Brittany Nacole, an authentic neo-soul and R&B artist hailing from Lima, Ohio, is captivating audiences with her heartfelt music and inspiring life story. Born on April 12, 1992, Brittany’s journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and the unwavering power of music to heal and empower.
From a young age, Brittany was destined to embrace music. Growing up in Lima, Ohio, she would perform for her family, mimicking Destiny’s Child and dreaming of one day gracing the stage as a true artist. Her passion was ignited early on by her grandfather, a church singer who gifted her a karaoke machine at the age of 10. Brittany’s room quickly transformed into a creative sanctuary where she spent countless hours writing and performing, nurturing a love for music that would carry her through life's challenges.
As a teenager, Brittany’s passion led her to Columbus, Ohio, where her involvement in choir and talent shows flourished. Attending Fort Hayes, a music-focused high school, provided invaluable stage experience, and at 16, she self-taught herself the guitar, further honing her songwriting craft. Brittany’s musical journey continued in Chicago, where she studied music at Columbia College before financial hardships forced her to pivot. Undeterred, she stayed in the city, forging connections with local musicians and recording tracks that resonated within the community.
Brittany's debut single, "Strung Out," released on SoundCloud in 2015, quickly garnered attention and paved the way for live performances across Chicago and at the renowned A3C festival in Atlanta. In 2017, she released Earf Gurl, a neo-soul and R&B album that solidified her position in the local music scene.
In 2020, Brittany’s life took an unexpected turn. Pregnant and full of hope, she relocated to Los Angeles with her fiancé, touring musician Raphael Schaeffer, and embarked on a new chapter with her next EP, Pull Up. Embracing motherhood while pursuing her musical ambitions, Brittany continued to write and record amidst life’s demands.
Tragedy struck in January 2024 when Raphael lost his life in a car accident. Heartbroken, Brittany took a pause in her music to grieve. Yet, by the summer of 2024, drawing strength from her love and the memories of Raphael, she found the courage to complete Pull Up. The first single, "ETA," was released in June 2024 as a heartfelt tribute to her late fiancé, marking both an emotional catharsis and a powerful return to her art.
Now, as a resilient single mother, Brittany Nacole is on the path to releasing the full EP, scheduled for May 2025. Her story of overcoming personal tragedy while nurturing her passion for music is a beacon of hope and inspiration. Brittany continues to pour her soul into every note, delivering an authentic sound that touches the hearts of her listeners.
